Today's always been a big deal for my family, with the Army thing. There's a lot of military history on both sides of my family. They've spilled a lot of blood in service to their country, too, but today I always think about my mom. I was only 8 when she was killed in Iraq. I miss her a lot.

Love you, Mom. Thank you for everything.
