It's Coming Out Day

I've had to think about this a lot, but this is probably the best time for this sort of post.

I'm asexual.

At first I thought I was just too busy and too ambitious to let things like sex and dating get in the way. But over the last few years, I've realised it's more than that. Things may change - sexuality is a spectrum after all and I'm only 21 - but there's something right in being able to recognise there's an actual name for how I think and feel. Beyond the usual abuse, any way, about being frigid and the rest.

No need to respond. I just thought it was time I put it into words, and to the people who, for the most part, I trust as much as my family.

(Dad was... confused, but supportive. I think he was still thinking of me as a little girl and the whole idea of sex and sexuality caught him by surprise)

I very much enjoy the line from that police show. "Every time someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better, more interesting place."

I am glad that you are in a place (physically, emotionally, and so on) to be able to say who you are.

Also congratulations Ms Rambeau. Is Congratulations the correct word? Good job? This feels very awkward, and I would blame English but it is no better in french.
